The campaign aims to promote reading from an early age, to communicate and attract new reading audiences. The “Green Libraries” campaign has attracted 60,000 visitors and 7,800 newly-registered readers during the past eight editions.

Over the past four years the bookcrossing "Take, Read, Return" has collected almost 4,000 new books donated by residents of Sofia. Book lovers can take a book and leave their own at book houses located at iconic places in Sofia.
