During operation Narsil, led by Interpol, a network of websites containing child abuse material has been cracked, the press center of the Ministry of Interior reports. Arrests took place in several countries and a 34-year-old man was detained in Bulgaria. An online forum that he ran, which facilitated access to thousands of files depicting severe sexual abuse against children, has been shut down and its users are yet to be identified.

According to Secretary General of Interpol, Jürgen Stock, police forces in 195 countries know where these people are, what they are doing, and how to find the criminals. The organization has been monitoring child sexual abuse websites for more than 13 years now and more than 20,000 domains have been seized.
