In Vidin, the participants of the international tourist regatta Tour International Danubien (TID) have been solemnly welcomed. More than 130 lovers of adventures from Germany, France, Switzerland, Great Britain, Serbia, Canada and Bulgaria docked under the "Baba Vida" fortress. The guests received gifts from the Municipality of Vidin as a souvenir of their stay in the city. Krasimir Pavlov received a diploma and ribbon for his 50th participation in the regatta from Vidin to Silistra.
TID is the world's largest tourist rowing regatta. Every year, it starts from the city of Ingolstadt, Germany at the end of June. The regatta takes 74 days and passes through 7 Danubian countries along a route of 2516 km. Because of risks stemming from the war in Ukraine, this year the boats will not sail to the Black Sea.
