Bulgaria started its participation in the group stage of the 2023 Women's European Volleyball Championship with a victory. It defeated Croatia 3:1 (23:25, 25:23, 25:20, 25:18). The Bulgarian team coached by Lorenzo Micelli dominated the match in Arena di Monza. This has been Bulgaria’s second win against Croatia this summer.
