Bulgarian Police breaks up migrant smuggling ring

Police broke up a major migrant smuggling ring in Sofia. 16 illegal migrants from Afghanistan were detained. They were found in Geo Milev Park in the capital city. 

According to initial information, four people who were involved in organizing the transport and the accommodation of the migrants were arrested. According to BNR sources, three of the detainees were bringing food to the migrants in return for payment and the fourth detainee was the organizer of the operation. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated.
