Tennis: Viktoriya Tomova qualifies for second round of Chicago tournament

Bulgaria’s top female tennis player Viktoriya Tomova has qualified for the second round of the WTA Chicago Women's Open, with USD 115,000 in prize money.

Initially, Tomova was supposed to play versus Maryna Zanevska, Belgium but she withdrew from the tournament and the Bulgarian contestant played against Adesuwa Osabuohien, Nigeria. The match between Viktoriya Tomova and Adesuwa Osabuohien ended in 6-0, 6-0 and lasted just 52 minutes.

In the second round Tomova could play versus Alizé Cornet, France if she gets off to a successful start in Chicago.
