Sofia Prosecutor's Office requests permanent detention of Vasil Bozhkov

The Sofia city prosecutor's office has requested from the court to permanently detain businessman Vasil Bozhkov, BTA reported, quoting a statement from the Sofia City Prosecution Office. In it, the prosecutor's office states that it is bringing the request and evidence to court in one of the cases against him related to his gambling business. 


According to this investigation, Bozhkov is accused of leading an organized criminal group. According to the prosecutor's office, it had been operating since 2014 and engaged in extortion, bribery, money laundering and official crimes.

There is also secret evidence in the investigation.
