Weather forecast: Temperatures drop slightly, brief showers

During the night the clouds will increase from the West. There will be a light to moderate Southeasterly wind.

Tomorrow, 29 August, the weather will be predominantly sunny over the Western half of the country. Around midday and in the afternoon a cold front is expected which will usher in cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds. There will be brief showers with thunder, and conditions for hail. The wind will turn from the Northwest, bringing cooler air. Maximum temperatures 30-33° C., for Sofia around 31° C. Over the Eastern half of the country the weather will continue predominantly sunny and hot. Later in the afternoon the clouds there will increase as well. The light to moderate southeasterly wind will continue. Maximum temperatures there 34-39° C.

Over the Black Sea coast the weather will be predominantly sunny with an increase of clouds in the afternoon from the West. There will be a light to moderate wind from the East-Southeast. Maximum temperatures 27-29° C., temperature of the sea water 26-28° C., sea state 2-3.

Over the mountains of Western Bulgarian there will be considerable, mostly cumulonimbus clouds. Around midday and in the afternoon there will be rain with thunderstorms, and conditions for hail. Over the mountains of Eastern Bulgaria, the weather will be predominantly sunny, but there too clouds with gather by the end of the day. There will be a moderate wind from the South-Southeast. Maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m, around 23° c., at 2,000 m. around 18° C.
