Bulgarian and Israeli musicians in concert to mark 80th anniversary of the rescue of Bulgarian Jews in WW2

The 80th anniversary of the rescue of the Bulgarian Jews will be celebrated this evening with a concert by the Sofia Philharmonic in Bulgaria concert hall in Sofia. The Bulgarian orchestra will be joined by the Israeli Ashira Choir, Capella Anima and Zamir Choir from the German city of Bayreuth with soloists Barbara Bayer and James Clark. 

The conductor of the evening will be the composer Isaak Tavior. In addition to works by Johannes Brahms and Vincenzo Bellini, the oratorio "Last Days Lie Ahead" and "Vision of Dry Bones" by Isaak Tavior, as well as the folk song "If I Forget You, Jerusalem" will be performed. 

The event is held under the patronage of President Rumen Radev.
