9 medals for Bulgaria from the European Games for athletes with Down Syndrome

With 9 medals, Bulgaria took 6th place in the ranking of nations at the European Championships for athletes with Down Syndrome, which were held in the Italian city of Padova. 

Graduates of the Federation of Adapted Physical Activity, led by Slav Petkov, won 2 gold medals (Alexander Assenov – 100 meters and triple jump), one silver (Alexander Assenov – long jump) and 6 bronze medals (Radena Angelova – triple jump, long jump, 100 meters, Romanola Sikander - 800 meter sports walking, Boyan Vandov - shot put and 4x100 meter relay - Romanola Sikander, Radena Angelova, Boyan Vandov and Alexander Asenov).
