Bulgaria’s Chief of Defence calls for setting up a NATO coordination centre for the Black Sea

At the NATO Military Committee Conference in Oslo, Bulgaria’s Chief of Defence Admiral Emil Eftimov emphasized the need to set up a Black Sea Coordination Centre and confirmed Bulgaria’s readiness to host it. Referring to the situation in the Black Sea, Admiral Emil Eftimov pointed out that Russia had shown disrespect for international law.

Part of the discussions focused on the situation in Ukraine. Admiral Emil Eftimov said that assistance to the invaded country should be provided in the context of the plans for the modernization of the armed forces and for replenishing the stocks of material resources.
