Bulgaria has expressed its desire to participate in 3 of the working groups in the peace plan of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which includes 10 points.

The points are energy security, food security and the environment, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel announced in New York after participating in a discussion with EU foreign ministers.

The Bulgarian delegation at the session of the UN General Assembly is led by President Rumen Radev. At the meeting on Sustainable Development Goals, Radev said that the main challenge remained the risk of global military conflict and the undermining of economic and social systems worldwide because of the war in Ukraine. "We expect the United Nations, which was created in the years after the devastating World War II, to strengthen its role as an instrument for finding peace," the president added.
