58 parties and 9 coalitions will participate in the local elections on 29 October, announced the Central Election Commission. Deputy Chairperson and spokesperson of the Central Election Commission Rositsa Mateva said at a briefing that 5053 municipal councillors will be elected.

On September 27, the lot for the ballot numbers by which the participants will appear in the ballot, will be drawn.

Ms Mateva noted that the names of the citizens who have signed in support of the political formations have already been published on the CEC website. She appealed to voters who are on the list but have not signed to send their signals to the Commission for Personal Data Protection.
