Weather forecast for Bulgaria for 24 September 2023

Hot weather expected in Bulgaria on Sunday

On Sunday, short-term rain with thunder will fall in places over Western Bulgaria, and hail is also possible in the northwestern regions. It will be mostly sunny over the eastern half of the country. 

The minimum temperatures will be between 15°C and 20°C, in Sofia - 17°C, and the maximum temperatures - between 30°C and 35°C, in Sofia - about 29°C.

In the mountains in the western part of the country, the cloudiness will be significant and after noon there will be short-term precipitation in some places, accompanied by thunder. It will be mostly sunny and warmer in the mountains to the east. A moderate, temporarily strong wind will blow from the south-southeast. The maximum temperature at a height of 1,200 m will be around 26°C, at 2,000 m – around 19°C.

It will be mostly sunny along the Black Sea - in the morning hours in some places with low clouds or fog. The maximum temperatures will be 23°C-26°C, and the sea water - 24°C-25°C. 

In the western and central regions of the Balkans, the weather will be dynamic. There will be rain showers, in many places - temporarily intense and significant in quantity. It will be in the east with almost no precipitation and more sunny hours. It will be 34 °C in Athens, 32 °C in Bucharest, 29 °C in Istanbul, 21°C in Belgrade.

It will be sunny and warm in the Iberian Peninsula, France and Belgium. Rainfall will occur in Great Britain, Ireland, Finland, western regions of Russia, Slovakia, Hungary and southwestern Ukraine. It will be 26 °C in Rome, 25 °C in Madrid and Moscow, 21°C in Munich, 20°C in Vienna, 19 °C in Paris, 17°C in Stockholm and St. Petersburg.

It will be 23°C in Chicago and Melbourne, 18 °C in New York, 17 °C  in Cape Town.
