President Radev: SANS is an important element of national security, not a punching bag

There is widespread ignorance about the nature of the work of the State Agency for National Security (SANS), President Rumen Radev said in Karnobat, where he is visiting on the occasion of the town's holiday. According to him, the highlighting of an agent does not mean his immediate expulsion from the country.

"It is necessary to find out who he has recruited, to uncover the network. If one is expelled, it will put an end to all efforts to find out if there is such a network of agents," the head of state explained.

According to Rumen Radev, the only aim of the reform of the services is to subordinate them so that they cannot resist.

"SANS is an important element of national security, SANS is not a punching bag on which ignorant politicians with sick ambitions can exercise their power, and if they attack SANS in an ignorant way, the service is obliged to defend itself," he said.
