Artist Katya Taneva unveils aspects of the female heart in a photo exhibition

Twenty-seven women - each with her personal story and her own reason - stood in front of Katya Taneva's lens to become part of the Faces of the Female Heart project. The photography exhibition will be launched in the park in front of the National Palace of Culture on the eve of tomorrow's World Heart Day. 

The exhibition is part of the XXVIII World Congress of Echocardiography and Allied Techniques, which will be held in Sofia, and aims to raise awareness of the risk of cardiovascular disease through the medium of art photography

Artist Katya Taneva has lived between Vienna and New York for the past 12 years and has organized contemporary art exhibitions in galleries and museums around the world.
