Miners and energy workers from Maritsa East coal mines continue to block Trakia motorway, the Pass of the Republic and the road section in the region of Gurkovo of the Sofia-Burgas road south of the Balkan Range.
Road blockades remain in place, although the National Assembly adopted on Friday night Bulgaria’s climate neutrality roadmap, according to which the production of electricity from coal will continue without limit until the end of 2038.
