The miners and energy workers protesting for 14 days now have freed all roads in the territory of the Stara Zagora region and traffic has been restored, the Road Infrastructure Agency reported. The Trakia highway, the Pass of the Republic and the Sliven-Kazanlak road in the Gurkovo region are now open.

"We are not backing down, we are simply withdrawing from the roadblocks and continuing with subsequent actions with which we think our demands can be achieved", said the union leader from Podkrepa trade union at TPP "Maritsa-East 2" Biser Binev.

The protesters demand that the territorial plans submitted to the European Commission for the coal regions be withdrawn and revised.
