"Bulgaria has a great potential to attract tourists from Far Eastern markets. Not only in Sofia, but also in less populated places". This is what Jongin Bae, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Bulgaria, said at a meeting with Bulgarian Minister of Tourism Zaritza Dinkova. At the meeting it became clear that work is currently being done to promote this country as a destination for special interest tourism - adventure, mountain, spa, cultural, historical, wine. Strong advertising campaigns are being prepared to promote Bulgaria as an accessible and preferred tourist destination.

"Bulgaria is changing very fast. Your cultural tourism, the Rose Festival would be a great way to tell the world about your country," Ambassador Jongin Bae said. In his words, potential opportunities to promote Bulgaria in Far Eastern markets include filming Korean films and productions in the country, as well as various videos to be distributed on YouTube and further boost interest in the country. "Even now, videos shot by Korean youth in Sofia have been viewed tens of thousands of times on the web," the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea stressed.
