Captain Alexander Kalchev, CEO of the Bulgarian Shipping Company Navibulgar stated, in an interview with the Bulgarian news agency BTA, that there is no danger to the crew, and added that there is no fighting in the vicinity of the port and the level of security is normal. The port is protected by air defence, Capitain Kalchev said and added there was no risk, the port was operational and there were ships in the roadstead.

Rojen’s crew consists of 19 people, all of them Bulgarian, Capitain Kalchev said further. Some of the sailors previously contacted public service TV BNT, and stated they did not feel safe.
