According to the branch organizations, one hundred large farms, which are the backbone of the Bulgarian livestock industry, have not received a penny of support in the last 10 months. Some of them threaten that if they do not receive assistance by the end of the week, they will ritually slaughter their animals on the roads.
"There is no reason for the livestock breeders' protests, the Memorandum is being strictly implemented," the Ministry of Agriculture said in a statement.
