“The fact is that the Central Election Commission (CEC) did not handle the holding of the election well this time. Changes in the composition of the CEC should be sought. That is something parliament should do,” said Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov during a Q & A live stream, in which he answered the public’s questions.

The allegations that the Minister of e-Government Alexander Yolovski was blackmailed in connection with a public contract by one of the leaders of the ruling coalition are not true, PM Denkov said.

Nikolai Denkov defended his right to demand the resignation of the head of the State Agency for National Security Plamen Tonchev. The President is exceeding his powers, and has no right to refuse to the dismissal which has been requested of him, because he is hampering the work of the government, PM Denkov said.
