"Neftochim" violated the EU oil embargo and exported fuels produced from Russian oil to the EU and USA, Martin Vladimirov from the Center for the Study of Democracy (CSD ), has told BNT.

From March to July 2023, "Neftochim" exported fuels produced from Russian oil and the owner "Lukoil" accumulated 1 billion euros in profit for the Russian budget. The Center for the Study of Democracy points out two cargoes - 265,000 tons of diesel fuel delivered to the port of Rotterdam, and another cargo that reached Florida. According to the refinery, it did not have enough space to store the fuel. During the first 9 months of the year, the refinery in Burgas processed 4.5 million tons of Russian crude oil. The research was done jointly with Global Witness, "Politico" website reads.
