Vice President Iliana Iotova described the last meeting of the Security Council at the Council of Ministers as a "serious precedent".
"This means that doubt and mistrust is introduced into a body that needs to take care of the security of all Bulgarian citizens. This means there is a very deep chasm within the ruling non-coalition. If Bulgaria was suspected of circumventing the sanctions, this would be another argument in the hands of our European partners, especially those who do not particularly agree with us being part of Schengen," the vice-president said.
Iotova also said that she had not heard sufficiently convincing arguments from either the opponents or by the advocates of continuing the use of Russian oil until March 15.
