The state of emergency declared on 26 November in Razgrad region over the complicated winter conditions has been called off, the regional administration has announced. The strong winds and the heavy snow caused outages in electricity and the water supply and disrupted transport, telecommunications, education, hospital activities and other services. In the course of 48 hours national and regional roadways were closed to traffic. According to data of the electricity distribution company in the region, there are now no towns or villages without electricity, and only two villages have not had their water supply restored. All roads on the territory of the region are open to traffic, the local authorities say, as quoted by the Bulgarian news agency BTA.
