December 2023 declared Bulgarian-American Friendship Month in Arizona

The Governor of Arizona, Katie Hobbs, has announced with a proclamation the month of December, 2023, as the Month of Bulgarian-American Friendship in the US state. The proclamation, issued at the initiative of Bulgaria's Consul General in Los Angeles Boyko Hristov, notes the strong ties between the peoples of Bulgaria and the United States, built on shared values and the commitment of both peoples to the principles of democracy and freedom. 

The document emphasizes the rich cultural heritage of Bulgaria and the contribution of the Bulgarian diaspora to the social, economic and cultural life of the United States. 

"Thank you to the governor of Arizona, Katie Hobbs, for this nice sign of friendship," Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel said on this occasion.
