Weather forecast for 6 December

St Nicholas Day will be cloudy and rainy

On Wednesday, lows will range from minus 1 to minus 4°C, with temperatures around 2°C in Sofia. During the day it will be cloudy with showers, more in the eastern half of the country, where it will continue to rain overnight into Thursday. Snow showers will occur in north-western Bulgaria and in mountainous areas. Maximum temperatures will be 2-4°C in the north-west and 6-8°C in the east, reaching 5°C in the capital.

On the Black Sea coast it will be cloudy and rainy with moderate winds from the northeast. Air temperatures will reach 9-11°C. The sea temperature will be 10°C. The sea swell will be 3-4.

Over the mountains it will be cloudy and foggy. Rain will change to snow above 1,000 m. Temperatures will drop to 3°C at 1,200 m, and to minus 2°C at 2000 m.

Thursday will remain cloudy. In the highlands and western Bulgaria the rain will change to snow due to the drop in temperature.
