Judge Daniela Taleva has taken up her duties as the first randomly selected prosecutor in Bulgaria to investigate the Prosecutor General and his deputies. Today, she met with the acting Prosecutor-General, Borislav Sarafov, whom she will investigate.

The allegations against Sarafov relate to real estate owned by his relatives and the takeover of a multimillion-dollar business seizure case, popularly known as "The Eight Dwarfs", which was dropped by the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office. Taleva, who was previously a judge at the Sofia City Court, hopes that people in high places of power will show common sense and morality and not put pressure on her work.
