Weather forecast for December 15

Codes yellow and orange for the entire country over precipitation

On Friday, precipitation will cover the entire country as in many places it will be significant. Before noon, the rain will turn to snow in the mountainous regions and in some places in north-eastern Bulgaria. By the end of the day, there will be snowfalls in the rest of the country, as well. Snow cover will begin to form in the evening. Cold air will make temperatures drop. The day will start with temperatures between 5 and 8°C; in Sofia it will be about 2°C. By 2 p.m., temperatures will be between 1 to 4°C, in the capital up to 2°C.

At the Black Sea coast the weather will be cloudy and rainy with northeasterly wind. Air temperatures will reach up to 4-5°C. Sea water temperature is 9-10°C.

The weather in the mountains will be cloudy with snow showers and strong northwesterly wind. The temperature at 1200 m above sea level will be 2°C, at 2000 m it will be minus 1°C.
