Christmas arts and crafts fair in Plovdiv

The first Christmas arts and crafts fair is taking place in Plovdiv’s Old Town December 15-17.

The workshops are open to all people who want to create something with their own hands, under the guidance of skilled master craftsmen. Original works are on sale, and visitors will be able to travel back in time with a photo session or a vintage photograph. In arts and crafts street they will be able to taste of the culinary delights on offer there – Christmas ginger cakes or hot chocolate, or mulled wine. There will also be a tour of the craft workshops, as well as film screenings of vintage films.

Master craftsmen will offer free demonstrations, and will talk about the finer points of icon painting, woodcarving, decorative pottery and glassblowing. To add to the holiday spirit, the arts and crafts fair offers a special music selection.
