The start will be given to the winter tourist season in Bansko with a diverse sporting, music and culinary programme. The skiing legends Deborah Compagnoni and Marc Girardelli, who will be guests at the official opening, will take part in the mass skiing event, together with the children from the ski school Julen. The lift and only some of the ski runs will be open during the event as there is not enough snow.

The winter season officially opened in Pamporovo last night, with a new 6-seat chair lift. The ceremony was attended by Minister of Tourism Zaritsa Dinkova and the mayor of Smolyan Nikolay Melemov. “The 9% VAT rate for tour operators and for restaurants will remain in place until the end of 2024,” Minister Dinkova said.

The season kicked off in Borovets as well. The ski runs in Sitnyakovo ski centre are now open.
