At a meeting with representatives of the Economic and Social Council of Bulgaria, President Rumen Radev stated his position that the strategically important decisions for Bulgaria should be made after a comprehensive analysis and a thorough debate, "because the aggressive incompetent policy, which ignores any expertise, is dangerous for the future of the state", Radev stated.

As an example of this, he pointed to the strategic decisions of the parliament related to the future of nuclear energy in Bulgaria and the purchase of new reactors for the Kozloduy NPP.

"The decision was taken by the MPs without expert justification, without a comparison between different alternative options and without clarity as to what will be the final price that Bulgaria will have to pay for the nuclear reactors," the president pointed out.
