The request was made by the Foreign Affairs Committee of the US House of Representatives. The Bulgarian embassy in Washington DC has sent a letter to the National Assembly, the government and the ministries of energy and of foreign affairs, asking for information regarding what answer to give. They ask whether it is true that the export of fuels made out of Russian oil will continue after 31 December, and whether it is true that the price cap of USD 60 per barrel of Russian crude oil will be applied with regard to its import in 2024.
