Yellow code for strong winds in northern Bulgaria

The winter solstice arrives at 5.27 am on Friday. Minimum temperatures will be between minus 3 and 2°C, in Sofia - minus 3°C. A cold front will pass through the country with significant cloudiness and rain showers - in the evening the rain will change to snow in the pre-Balkan region. Maximum temperatures will be 5 to 10°C, 5°C in the capital.

Along the Black Sea coast it will be cloudy with rain in the afternoon. Air and sea temperatures will be 8-10°C. The sea swell will be 2-3.

It will be cloudy with snow showers in the mountains. The temperature at 1,200 m will be 2°C, at 2,000 m - minus 3°C.

Saturday will bring strong winds and a yellow code was issued for northern Bulgaria, where rain will fall in places.
