Moments shared with family and friends, the favourite hobby, pets, time spent in nature are the things that shape the world that makes children happy – this was the guiding idea in the many photographs by students from all over Bulgaria who took part in the photo competition “The world that brings a smile!” by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science.

The contest challenged school-goers in Bulgaria to “capture” the things that make them smile in photographs. Dozens of schools from all over the country took part in three age groups 1 – 4 grade, 5 – 7 grade and 8 – 12 grade.

In the group of the youngest, the award went to the photograph taken by Valentin Goshev, who is in the 3^rd grade at the St. Paisius of Hilendar school in Sotirya village. The boy took a picture of “the last sunrays through the first friendly smiles”.
