Spring-like weather expected in Bulgaria for Christmas and New Year

On Sunday, the minimum temperatures in Bulgaria will be between 0 and 5°C, in Sofia - 1°C. During the day, the clouds will break and decrease. In the afternoon, the sun will also appear over most of the country. The wind will remain from the northwest, it will be moderate; in Northern Bulgaria and the western part of the Upper Thracian lowland the wind will be temporarily strong.

The maximum temperatures on Sunday will be from 9 to 14°C, in the capital Sofia - 10°C.

Along the Black Sea coast there will be variable cloudiness, sunshine is expected in the afternoon. Air temperatures will be up to 8-12°C. Sea water temperature is 9-10°C.

Over the mountains it will be cloudy until noon, sunny in the afternoon. The temperature at 1,200 m above sea level will be 7°C, at 2,000 m - up to minus 1°C.

On Monday and Tuesday it will be sunny, the wind will weaken, the temperatures will rise.

In Europe above the Iberian Peninsula, in the Western Mediterranean, southern France, Switzerland and northern Italy, it will be mostly sunny. Over the Apennine Peninsula and in the Central Mediterranean it will be cloudy, without precipitation. In the rest of the continent it will rain - rain in the west, snow in the east. It will be very windy in Great Britain, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia and in Ukraine.

In the Balkans, there will be more cloudiness before noon over the northeastern half, in some places it will rain, but after noon the cloudiness will decrease to sunny. It will also be sunny in the south. It will be windy in Romania and Bulgaria.

It will be 14 and 13°C in London and Paris, 10 and minus 1°C are expected in Berlin and Moscow. In Madrid and in Rome it will be 11 and 16°C. It will be 14 and 12°C in Belgrade and Bucharest, 15°C in Istanbul. Athens will be the warmest European capital with highs of 20°C.

In Vancouver and Montreal it will be 5 and minus 1°C, in Chicago and New York it will be 11 and 3°C. 16°C is expected in Los Angeles, 25 and 22°C in Miami and Mexico City, 29°C in Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro. It will be 26°C in Dubai, 14°C in Jerusalem.
