Bulgarian Foreign Ministry advises against traveling to the UK over Storm Gerrit

According to the weather forecast for Britain, strong winds and heavy rain, as well as 10-15 cm of snow are expected in northern parts of Scotland today and tomorrow, as a result of Storm Gerrit. The information has been reported by the Situation Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its website, referring to information from the Bulgarian Embassy in London.

The worsening weather conditions will affect Scotland, Wales and central and north-west England and is expected to disrupt all forms of transport, with power cuts and flooding also expected in affected areas. Therefore, people are advised to limit traveling to these areas, as well as to stay informed in advance about the schedules of the carriers and possible changes or cancellation of transport services, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
