Foreign direct investments exceed EUR 3.5 billion in 2023

According to data of the Bulgarian National Bank, foreign direct investments in the country exceeded EUR 3.5 billion in 2023, Minister of Innovation and Growth Milena Stoycheva said today in Varna, quoted by BTA. The Ministry of Innovation and Growth issued investment project certificates worth more than EUR 300 million, which are expected to create more than 2,300 jobs.

Investors are interested in various areas, including electromobility, electrical components, software, biotechnology, bioeconomy, microelectronics, mechatronics. According to Minister Styocheva, investors from all over Europe, Asia, Turkiye and the USA are interested in Bulgaria.
