During the first sitting of the National Assembly for 2024 the political parties read out declarations with assessments and expectations for the political season. According to GERB-SDS, the future changes in the country depend on the successful rotation of prime ministers in the cabinet, supported by the ruling majority.

''Change is happening, albeit more slowly than we would like'', said We Continue the Change. The budget deficit will be below 3%, which will allow Bulgaria to enter the Eurozone in 2025, We Continue the Change further said.

The Movement for Rights and Freedoms reaffirmed its commitment to work for higher incomes, predictability for business, strengthening Euro-Atlanticism and for Bulgaria’s full membership in Schengen and the Eurozone.

The declaration of "Vazrazhdane" was against the "desecration of historical monuments in the country’’.

The Bulgarian Socialist Party said that ‚‘'because of the government Bulgaria is only 3% in Schengen by air and sea, and 97% outside the Schengen area by land. The party criticized the dismantling of Soviet monuments and the support for Ukraine.

There is Such a People (ITN) accused the government of pursuing a pro-inflationary policy. ITN added that the 2023 budget ended with a deficit and the country has not received a date to join Schengen by land.
