Weather forecast for Bulgaria for 12 January 2024

The weather on Friday will remain frosty with sub-zero temperatures

On Friday, the minimum temperatures in Bulgaria will be between -9 and - 4°C, - 8°C in Sofia. Cloudiness will decrease to sunny spells during the day. Clouds will linger in the east and light snow is possible there. 

Maximum temperatures tomorrow will be between -1 and 4°C, in the capital – minus 1°C.

It will be cloudy along the Black Sea coast, with a northeast wind bringing in cold air. Temperatures will be between 2 and 4°C. The temperature of the sea water is at 8°C. 

In the mountains in the western parts of the country it will be sunny, over the eastern massifs it will be cloudy. The temperature at 1,200 m above sea level will be - 3°C, at 2,000 m - as low as - 9°C.

It will be cold on Saturday with minimum temperatures between -10 and - 5°C. The maximum will be between - 3° and 2°C. 

On Sunday, a slight warming up is expected.

Cold air will invade the Balkans from the north tomorrow. There will be partly cloudy skies. It will rain in the south in Greece, snow is expected over the eastern massifs.
