Antoaneta Stefanova won the silver medal at the European Women's Rapid and Blitz Chess Championship held in Monte Carlo. The Bulgarian finished the 11-round competition with 8.5 points after 6 wins, 5 draws and no losses. Antoaneta Stefanova was only half a point behind Alexandra Kosteniuk (Switzerland) who won the gold medal.
