Money to compensate for economic losses due to the war in Ukraine is not included in the 2024 budget. However, the unused funds for state co-financing under various EU programmes can be used for the so-called "Ukrainian aid", Minister of Agriculture Kiril Vatev told the National Assembly Committee on Agriculture, Food and Forestry. The possibility was confirmed by Finance Minister Assen Vassilev.
