There is no decision to send Bulgarian troops to the Gulf of Aden or the Red Sea. This is what Bulgaria’s Minister of Defense Todor Tagarev said in Varna, the BNR’s correspondent Daniela Stoynova reported. According to Minister Tagarev, the only thing on the agenda is sending officers to the operation headquarters, which is not even physically located there.

He also refuted media reports that foreign troops would come to Bulgaria during NATO’s exercise "Steadfast Defender". This exercise, which will last until May, is not intended to take place on our territory, let alone other troops coming here, Minister Tagarev said.
