‎Gyule moi - inspired by the collections of Bulgarian folk songs

Bulgarian singer Savina continues to pay tribute to traditions in her new song "Gyule moi". In it, the singer once again combines Bulgarian folklore with her jazz pursuits. Studying jazz singing, she keeps looking for and discovering treasures in folk song collections and being inspired by the great heritage in the archives of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, which, in her words, great composers such as Nikolay Kaufman and others have left us. ‎

"Gyule moi" is the first of a series of songs that my friends and like-minded people and I decided to create, and to reach the ultimate moment for all of us - to make an album", says Savina. "Once again we are stepping on traditions - folklore exists in this song, but it is very subtle and delicately expressed. Authorship - music, arrangement - all this is like an oil painting. It starts from the great desire to recreate folklore in this light way, but at the same time to trust and respect what is written as texts in collections, traditions, customs, etc. ‎Jazz is presented in a very delicate way."‎

‎"Gyule moi" is an ethno-jazz piece with elements of pop, as Savina, inspired by the folklore originals, contributes to the authorship of the text.‎

The beautiful arrangement of "Gyule moi" is the work of Alex Nushev, with whom Savina has been working for a long time. Simona Stanoeva and Victoria Rizov from the Nusha choir, Todor Bakardzhiev on trumpet, Borislav Petrov on drums, Kalina Andreeva on double bass and Stoyan Stoyanov on accordion and piano complete the lineup of musicians who participated in the creation of the song.‎
