The leader of GERB, Boyko Borisov, called for an end to the war between institutions. He also called on the president to stop speaking as a party leader. Boyko Borisov categorically opposed the idea proposed by Delyan Peevski to impeach the head of state. It is absurd to talk about impeachment of a person who is directly elected by the people, just as it is absurd for a person who the public has trusted to be a unifier to speak as a party leader and not to like anything that has happened so far in Bulgaria, except for the caretaker governments".

The opposition also opposed the idea of early termination of President Radev’s term of office.
