"The removal of land borders between Bulgaria, Romania, and Greece with a decision by Sofia, Bucharest, and Athens is not being discussed at the political level", Bulgaria’s Premier Nikolay Denkov said in Brussels with regard to the idea of a Balkan Schengen. Nikolay Denkov said he was going to have talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on the sidelines of today's European Council meeting in Brussels.

''I look forward to discussing Bulgaria’s priorities- the Schengen land borders, the eurozone. We have always had the support of Germany and we need to specify the important next steps on which we expect concrete support", said Premier Denkov as quoted by BTA. He expressed the expectation that today a unanimous decision will be reached to continue financial support for Ukraine. Regarding the European Commission’s proposals on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products, the Prime Minister said that according to the data, there is no exceptional increase in these imports.
