Due to the upcoming FIS Ski World Cup at the end of the week, accommodations in Bansko are booked for the entire month of February. There are tourists from several continents, including Israel, the BNR’s correspondent Keti Trencheva reported. Furthermore, Bulgaria’s most popular winter resort will be advertised on the CNN Turk television channel, in the most-watched segment - the weather forecast.

The Tourist Business Union signed a three-month contract, its chairman Malin Bistrin said from Istanbul. Between February 6 and 9 Istanbul hosts the 27th East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition (EMITT), which is one of the biggest tourism exhibitions in Europe.

"We participate in all travel exhibitions so that people hear the name of Bansko and know that it is the winter capital not only of the Balkans, but also of Eastern Europe," said Malin Bistrin. After the successful participation at tourism fairs in Great Britain, Spain and the Scandinavian countries, the representatives of the tourism business from Bansko are now in Istanbul, Keti Trencheva said.
