Bulgarian Milan Dimitrov expects to be sent to the USA after Greek courts satisfied the extradition request of the American government in two instances, reports the legal website De Fakto. According to the U.S. authorities, Milan Dimitrov’s company has purchased radiation-hardened circuits, which are goods with possible dual-use, and these components have allegedly been exported to Russia. On July 21, 2020, a court in the state of Texas indicted Dimitrov and two other individuals on four counts and issued an arrest warrant, with the possible penalty for each offense being 20 years in prison, or 80 years in total.

After learning about this accusation from the media, Dimitrov initiated an inspection at the company's office on February 7, 2021. In the presence of a notary, a statement of findings was drawn up, verifying that all components purchased by the company were available and were not exported. On December 6, 2022, Dimitrov entered Greece without suspecting that he was wanted. He was detained by Greek authorities and learned for the first time that he had been wanted by Interpol for extradition to the USA, De Fakto reported. The last option for non-compliance with the extradition decision made by the Greek courts is to refer the case to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) and request a suspension of the extradition.
