At the prosecutor’s office registry there are 25 case files and pre-litigation procedures connected with Martin Bozhanov a.k.a The Notary. This was announced after acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov ordered probes concerning Bozhanov who was murdered a few days ago. Bozhanov was a party to these case files and pre-litigation procedures which date back to 2004 – as defendant, appellant, witness.

Due to numerous refusals to open pre-litigation procedures, mostly by prosecutors from the Sofia regional prosecutor’s office, a review has been initiated of all acts with the aim of establishing the legality of the actions of the supervising magistrates, the prosecutor’s office has announced.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the parliamentary group of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, DPS, Delyan Peevski proposed an ad-hoc parliamentary committee to look into the facts connected with the activities of the group around Martin Bozhanov.
