Three MPs – Ivo Ruschev, Alexander Arangelov and Nikolay Drenchev – have been expelled from the parliamentary group of Vazrazhdane party, Kostadin Kostadinov, Vazrazhdane leader and chairman of the party’s parliamentary group has announced.
“The reason is that, at the Sofia city council, four councilors from the Vazrazhdane group preferred financial incentives to the honour and the cause of Vazrazhdane,” Kostadinov said. “There was a meeting of the Sofia organization, at which a decision was made to hold to account those members of parliament who nominated these Vazrazhdane municipal councilors for the Sofia ticket,” Kostadinov said further. “They chose to remain in parliament instead of resigning and taking political responsibility,” Kostadin Kostadinov said in explanation as to why the members of parliament are being expelled from the Vazrazhdane parliamentary group.
